US Cities are Breaking All-time Homicide Records in 2021

Tuesday, 11 January 2022

The rise in violent crime is an epidemic that is happening all across the United States, reported Thomas Abt, a senior fellow at the Council on Criminal Justice. It is the result of three major factors: 1) the impact of Covid-19 on communities and first responders, 2) the fallout of the social unrest after the murder of George Floyd, and 3) the surge in gun sales since the start of the pandemic. Here are the homicide rates and ranks of US Cities:

Reliable Rider Clubs provide comprehensive background checks of all members and drivers, to facilitate safer rides amidst all time high homicide rates in many US Cities. Clubs will have no more than 30 to 60 members in their Members Only Ride Share System. Club members can book their ride pickup time and location and the destination location up to 90 days in advance.  Other club members can share the same ride if their pickup location and destination location align with the route.  Club members pay $250 per month for up to 250 miles of transportation in that month.  If a club member uses more than 250 miles of transportation in any month, their credit card will be billed $1.50 per extra mile.  By ridesharing, we mean two or more persons traveling in an automobile together.

Known Drivers

Reliable Rider Clubs hire experienced drivers who must have at least three years of driving experience. Background checks of criminal history and driver’s records are required. The Reliable Rider Club pays for these background checks. A driver can be suspended or terminated if the person is found to have provided false information or documents. If safety concerns or complaints are received from club members, a majority vote by club members can terminate the driver. Three club drivers and one substitute driver are selected for every 30 club members. Your riders will all be Club Members, who have all been background checked (no strangers).  Register your interest in becoming a Club Driver.

Known Riders

Reliable Rider Club members receive background checks of criminal history prior to their membership being activated, which means more safety for drivers and riders. Having a maximum club size of 60 members means you won’t be riding with strangers, but rather with people you see on a weekly or monthly basis. This creates opportunities to build relationships and network within the club, which is not possible with large ride share systems. The background check cost ($75) will be billed to their credit card. Their current residential address will be verified and their criminal history record will be obtained. The background information reports will be retained in the Reliable Rider administrative databases. Membership will be granted or denied based on a review of the background information obtained by Reliable Rider, LLC. Minor criminal violations will not prohibit someone from membership. The $75 background check fee is non-refundable, even if their membership is not granted. Documented complaints or concerns about club members or club drivers are discussed during the Club’s Online Meetings. Club Members or Club Drivers can be suspended or terminated by a majority vote of the club members during club meetings.

Known Vehicles

Club vehicles are serviced and inspected weekly on Saturday mornings.

This means safer rides, because the age, quality and maintenance of the vehicles is transparent to all club members and drivers.

Why Join a Reliable Rider Club?

Our clubs are attractive to Senior Citizens who no longer want to drive or individually own vehicles. People who cannot obtain a driver's license for any reason. People who want to opt out of the Legal Liabilities of driving.  People who want the Dollar Savings of Shared Ownership. People who have Medical Issues or concerns that prevent them from driving. People who want to manage the risks of consuming alcohol at restaurants, bars, music and sporting events. People who value Safety and Security above all other considerations.  Register your interest in becoming a club member.
