18 are not eligible to use the Site or become members. If you are under the
age of 18, you cannot use the Site, and we ask that you not submit any information

Information We Collect
Our primary purpose in collecting
personal information is to provide you and other members with a more reliable and
transparent rider community. This allows us to provide services and features that
are more likely to meet your needs, and to customize our services to make your Reliable
Rider experience more secure, more convenient and more efficient. We collect the
personal information about you that we consider necessary for achieving this purpose.
In general, as a member you can
browse the Site and create
ride request postings, ride offer postings and ride acceptance postings. In
order to create any of the above postings you will need to provide your Reliable
Rider member ID. Your member ID is attached to your personal information and
you are not anonymous to us or to other members. When you choose to use the service,
other members will have access to your contact and identity information and other
information as indicated on the forms throughout the Site (see General Member File
information). Where possible, we indicate which fields are required and which fields
are optional. You have the option to not provide some information by choosing not
to use a particular service or feature. We require credit card information when
you apply to become a member. Then we will use your credit card information,
to check the accuracy of your name, address and other information, as well as to
bill you for your membership. We automatically track certain information based upon
your interactions with the Site. We use this information to do internal research
on our users' demographics, interests and behavior and to better understand, protect
and serve you and our web community. This information may include the URL that you
just came from (whether this URL is on the Site or not), which URL you next go to
(whether this URL is on the Site or not), your computer browser information, and
your IP address.
We use data collection devices
such as "cookies" on certain pages of the Site to help analyze our web page flow,
measure promotional effectiveness, and promote trust and safety. "Cookies" are small
files placed on your hard drive that assist us in providing our services. We offer
certain features that are only available through the use of a "cookie". We also
use cookies to allow you to enter your password less frequently during a session.
Cookies can also help us provide information that is targeted to your interests.
Most cookies are "session cookies," meaning that they are automatically deleted
from your hard drive at the end of a session. You are always free to decline our
cookies if your browser permits, although in that case you may not be able to use
certain features on the Site and you may be required to re-enter your password more
frequently during a session.
Additionally, you may encounter
"cookies" or other similar devices on certain pages of the Site that are placed
by third parties. For example, if you view a web page created by a user, there may
be a "cookie" placed within that web page. We do not control the use of cookies
by third parties.
If you choose to register
as a member, create a ride request posting, create a ride offer posting, or accept
a ride offer via the Site, we collect information about those actions. We also collect
other members' ratings and comments about you in our feedback areas. You will have
a RRU (Reliable Rider Unit) account with us that will use Ride Unit Debits and Credits
to exchange rides with other members.
When you post ratings and
comments in our member feedback areas, we will collect and store the information
that you provide to us. We retain this information to resolve member disputes, provide
customer support and troubleshoot problems as permitted by law. When you send correspondence,
such as emails or forms, or if other members or third parties send us correspondence
about your activities or postings on the Site, we may collect such information into
a file specific to you.
Our Use of Your Information
We use your personal information
to facilitate the member services you request. We use the information stored about
you to: resolve disputes; troubleshoot problems; help promote safer rides; collect
fees owed; measure member interest in our services, inform you about online and
offline offers, service updates; customize your experience; detect and protect us
against error, fraud and other criminal activity; enforce our User Agreement (Terms
of Use); and as otherwise described to you at the time of collection. At times,
we may look across multiple users to identify problems or resolve disputes and in
particular we may examine your personal information to identify users using multiple
User IDs or aliases. We may compare and review your personal information for errors,
omissions and for accuracy.
If you choose to post a ride
request, a ride offer or accept a ride at the Site, or open a member account, or
otherwise provide us with your personal or financial information, we may use your
address and billing information to provide associated support.
You agree that we may use
personal information about you to improve our marketing and promotional efforts,
to analyze Site usage, to improve our content and service offerings, and to customize
the Site's content, layout and services. These uses improve the Site and better
tailor it to meet your needs, so as to provide you with a more secure, convenient,
efficient and customized experience while using the Site.
You agree that we may use
your personal information to contact you and deliver information to you that, in
some cases, is targeted to your interests, such as targeted advertisements, administrative
notices, offerings, and communications relevant to your use of the Site. By accepting
the Terms of Use and Member User Agreement and Privacy Policy, you agree to receive
this information. You acknowledge that you cannot make changes to your notification
preferences, at this time. However, you may be able to make such changes as
the Site develops further, but we cannot give you any assurance when this may occur.
Our Disclosure of Your
Information
As a matter of policy, we
do not sell or rent any of your personal information to third parties for their
marketing purposes without your explicit consent. However, the following describes
some of the ways that your personal information may be disclosed in the normal scope
of business to provide our services.
Reliable Rider Community
Your Member ID may be displayed
throughout the Site and therefore may be available to other members and the public.
All of your activities on the Site may be
identifiable via your Member
ID. Other members may be able to see your ride request postings, your ride offer
postings, your feedback ratings, associated comments, and so on. Therefore, your
Member ID allows other members to personally identify your Reliable Rider activities.
When you post a ride request, post a ride offer, or accept a ride offered by another
Member, Reliable Rider members will be able to see each other’s General Member File.
The General Member File includes the following information: Reliable Rider
Member ID, first name, middle name, last name, age, sex, Reliable Rider email address,
primary contact phone number, cell phone number, person to contact in case of a
medical emergency, medical emergency contact phone number, vehicle license number,
vehicle Make, Model and Year, the last 4 digits of your driver’s license number,
Member Quality Ratings, Member Comments, Member Photo (Optional), Member Business
and Personal Interests (Optional), and your Member Network (Optional). They will
not be able to see the information in your Member Security File. Only authorized
Reliable Rider Staff will have access to your Member Security File which includes
the following information: Reliable Rider Member ID, First Name, Middle Name, Last
Name, current residential address, Social Security Number, birth date, Driver’s
License Image, Proof of Auto Insurance Image, Auto Insurance Company, Policy Number,
Expiration Date, Vehicle ID Number (VIN), Criminal background check information,
Driver’s Record Information, Membership Status, and credit card information.
Your General Member File link will be sent to other members in confirmation email(s)
and in reminder email(s). We believe that these two levels of member information
and disclosure are a fair compromise between the competing concerns of identity
theft and the need to enhance rider community security. The above described General
Member File information will be included in email confirmations and reminders sent
to each member who have committed to riding together. These members may choose to
forward these ride confirmations and reminders to friends or other trusted persons,
by email or other means, for security and other purposes. Those emails may remain
on hard drives and other memory storage devices. With the passage of time, the number
of Reliable Rider Members familiar with your General Member File information (as
described and limited above) will grow. Although our web pages will be coded with
robot exclusion headers, others may illegally attempt to automatically collect your
email address from the Site, now and in the future. We describe how to change your
email address below. We may also provide a number of ways to allow other Members
to find out more about you and your Site activities, such as a feature that will
allow Members to see all of your future ride postings or your past ride postings.
Furthermore, we may send out notices to you and/or other Reliable Rider members
regarding suspicious activity or policy violations on the Site.
External Service Providers
There may be a number of
separate services offered by third parties that we refer to as external service
providers that may be complementary to your use of the Site. We do not disclose
your General Member File or Member Security File information to any external service
providers. With your consent we may provide your information to
the external service provider
offering any such service, for your convenience. To prevent our disclosure of your
personal information to an external service provider, you can decline such consent
or simply not use their services. Because we do not control the privacy practices
of these third parties, you should evaluate their practices before deciding to use
their services.
Internal Service Providers
for Our Operations
We may use third parties,
that we refer to as internal service providers, to facilitate or outsource one or
more aspects of the business and member service operations that we provide to you
(e.g., search technology, forums and discussion boards, bill collection, affiliate
and rewards programs, authentication, map and routing services, co-branded credit
cards), and therefore we may provide some of your personal information directly
to these internal service providers. These internal service providers are subject
to confidentiality agreements with us and other legal restrictions that prohibit
their use of the information that we provide them for any other purpose, except
to facilitate the specific outsourced Reliable Rider - related operation, unless
you have explicitly agreed or given your prior permission to them for additional
uses. In some instances, the internal service provider may collect information directly
from you (such as for Reliable Rider surveys planning changes to the Site). In these
cases, you will be notified of the involvement of the internal service provider,
and all additional information you provide them and their additional uses will be
strictly up to you. If you provide additional information to an internal service
provider directly, then their use of your personal information is governed by their
applicable privacy policy.
Other Corporate Entities
We share much of our data,
including personal information about you, with our subsidiaries, affiliates, and
joint ventures that are committed to serving your online member needs and related
services, throughout the world. To the extent that these entities have access to
your information, they will treat it at least as protectively as they treat information
they obtain from their other users. Our subsidiaries, affiliates, and joint ventures
follow privacy practices no less protective of all users than our practices described
in this document, to the extent allowed by applicable law. Reliable Rider, its subsidiaries,
its affiliates, its joint ventures, or any combination of such, will share some
or all of your personal information with another business entity should we plan
to, merge with, or be acquired by, that business entity. Should such a combination
occur, we will require that the new combined entity follow this privacy policy with
respect to your personal information. If your personal information will be used
contrary to this policy, you will receive prior notice.

with law enforcement agencies, as well as other third parties, to enforce laws,
anti-fraud and other rights, to help protect you and the Reliable Rider community
from bad actors. Therefore, in response to a verified
request by law enforcement,

or alleged illegal activity, we can (and you authorize us to) disclose your full
name, current residential address, city, state, postal code, country, telephone
number(s), email addresses, financial information, User ID history, related complaints
by any users, and a history of your ride postings, ride offers, and ride acceptances,
without a subpoena. Without limiting the above, in an effort to respect your privacy
and our ability to keep the Reliable Rider community free from bad actors, we will
not otherwise disclose your personal information to law enforcement or other government
officials without a subpoena, court order or substantially similar legal procedure,
except when we believe in good faith that the disclosure of information is necessary
to prevent imminent or possible physical harm or financial loss or to report suspected
